  Haridwar (the land of 2 P - Peace & Power) is one of the most sacred pilgrimage towns for Hindus in India. Literally, Haridwar means "the Gateway to God". The holy town of Haridwar is also known as Gangodwar which means the Door of the Ganga. Haridwar is the place where the holy river Ganga leaves the mountains and enters the Indian plains becoming very quite and calm. Pilgrims come here form the different part of the country to take a holy bath in Ganga. It is believed that taking a holy bath in the holy water of Ganga here purifies the soul. The holy town of Haridwar is well-known for its religious significance, the holy river Ganga and Ghats, Several Ashrams of Saints, other religious sites. It is also base to its neighboring holy town of Rishikesh. Haridwar is also a major centre for learning arts, science and culture. Haridwar's natural beauty is also worth exploring.

Travel to Har ki Pauri: Har Ki Pauri is one of the most sacred Ghats in Haridwar and also in India. According to popular belief, Har Ki Pauri Ghat was built by Vikramaditya in the memory of his Bhartri Hari. This Ghat is also known as Brahmakund. In the evening, the beauty of Ghat is worth seeing. The Ghat is admirably illuminated during Maha Aarti performed on this Ghat. It is said that Ghat has a footprint of Lord Vishnu. According to legends Lord Brahma (the creator of the universe) performed a Yagna (Prayers) on Har Ki Pauri Ghat. Maha Aarti on the Har Ki Pauri Ghat is worth seeing event in Haridwar.

Travel to Chandi Devi Temple: The temple of Chandi Devi is located on the top of a hill called Neel Pravat, the other side of the sacred river Ganga. This famous temple in Haridwar was built by Suchat Singh, the ruler of Kashmir, in 1929 AD. One can arrive here after a trekking of 3 km from the Chandi Ghat. According to popular belief the main statue of this temple was established by the Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. One can also enjoy ropeway to access the Chandi Devi Temple, which states near Gauri Shankar Temple.

Trip to Maya Devi Temple: Maya Devi Temple is one of the famous temples of Haridwar. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Sati as Adhisthatri. It is one of the famous Siddh Peeth.

Travel to Mansa Devi Temple: Set atop on the Bilwa Parvat, Mansa Devi is dedicated to the Goddess Mansa Devi.

Visit to Gurukul Kangri University: Gurukul Kangri University is located on the Haridwar - Jwalapur bypass road. The university is known for the unique system of education in India. It follows the ancient Indian system of teaching. Here you can also see Ved Madir Archaeological Museum.

Visit to Shantikunj: Shantikunj is also worth visiting religious site in Haridwar. You can't think about a complete Haridwar Tour without visiting Shantikunj. It is the famous ashram of Goddess Gayatri. Followers and pilgrims from different parts of the country and across come here to visit Shantikunj. It is an ideal place for yoga and natural cures. Shantikunj is set in the lap of Ganga, shade of mighty Himalaya. Shantikunj is a well defined laboratory for spirituality, religion, culture, yoga, austerity, discipline, unique co-ordination life-living science, and ayurveda.
